Travel guides
Specialising in South America, with a particular focus on Brazil, I have authored a handful of guidebooks since starting out as a freelance writer in 2015. My first taste of the intensity and complexity of a guide book was working on a seven-language city guide published by Time Out for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and in the three years since then I've gone on to write city and country guides for Fodor's, Wallpaper* and, most recently, Louis Vuitton.
São Paulo City Guide, Louis Vuitton, 2017-2021
Louis Vuitton publishes city guides for 29 of the most cosmopolitan cities around the world, in print and as an app. I have updated the guide annually since 2017, contributing nearly 100 new reviews for dozens of the most interesting new restaurants, bars, hotels, galleries and boutiques in São Paulo.
Rio de Janeiro Wallpaper* City Guide, 2016
The Rio de Janeiro Wallpaper* City Guide has a concise, carefully curated selection of venues for a design-savvy traveller. I co-authored the most recent update, published in time for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, in print and an app.
São Paulo, 2014 FIFA World Cup Host City Guide
As Executive Editor of a São Paulo city guide for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, I was responsible for creating high-quality content to showcase the best of the city, editing the copy as well as writing much of it. The guide was published in seven different languages.
